"Made in China"?. One of my latest projects reflects the experience I gained in China. I stayed there for several times and I took many photos. As I have been working recently on remakes and also because of being influenced by the workshop kind of painting method of the renaissance and baroque I hired a Chinese painter to paint ten of these photos.. When the Chinese painter had them painted he sent them to me to Hungary where I modified them. He had been informed of all my intervention in advance, before the whole project.

I attempted to capture the moment and let the image tell the story about this type of environment. This is one of a piece of four based on the elemental composite portraits of sixteenth century painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo. Like Arcimboldo, I took animals or other manmade objects of a certain element (air, water, earth, fire) and combined them into the shape of a skull. (Arcimboldo combined them into humanesque portraits) I put them into a deaths head shape to denote where the state of the human race is headed if we continue on the path of self destruction.
